The concept of Stensign is inspired by the iconic shapes of stencils, tools widely used in road signage and street art. This font reinterprets the practical and bold aesthetic of stencils, blending it with a modern and dynamic approach.

The main idea is to create a variable font that goes beyond evoking the effect of spray or paint, representing instead the natural deterioration of stencil-based graphics over time. The initially straight and precise lines gradually transform, losing their sharpness and taking on a rougher, more irregular character.

Stensign combines the functional precision of stencils with the lived-in, imperfect aesthetic of graphics weathered by time, offering a unique visual experience intrinsically tied to the passage of time.
